The building is run by Belhaven Surf Centre Charity board for our primary organisations which are our tenants The Wave Project and Coast To Coast Surf School and our named users Dunbar Surf Lifesaving Club; East Lothian Active Schools; East Lothian Countryside Rangers. Collectively these groups in partnership cover inclusive and high performance surfing and watersports and positive mental and physical health alongside environmental and safety education. This collective of organisations ensures the building is used by a wide selection of the watersports community and also local children and adults of all ages.
The community rooms – the education room and the board room are available to book to organisations that further the Belhaven Surf Centre aims outside core user times.
Since Sept 2019 this building has helped thousands of adults, young people and children with increased opportunities for participation in watersports, safety and coastal education. Belhaven surf centre will promote equal opportunities and inclusivity, to make it accessible to individuals from all backgrounds.
